Welcome from the Headteacher

On behalf of the staff and children at Hurst Green Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our wonderful school.  I joined Hurst Green in September 2024 as Headteacher. I am incredibly proud of our wonderful school community and hugely excited for the journey of growth and discovery ahead.

At Hurst Green Primary School, we are driven by a steadfast commitment to empowering every child to reach their full potential. Guided by our core values of respectcompassionequityaspirationcollaboration, and responsibility, we strive to create a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment where our children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Respect

We believe in treating everyone with dignity, kindness, and understanding, regardless of their background, abilities, or beliefs, and we celebrate our individual differences.

  • Compassion

We approach each child and family with empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to support their well-being and growth. We strive to create a caring and compassionate community where everyone feels heard, understood, and valued.

  • Equity

We are dedicated to ensuring that all children have equal opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive, and we work tirelessly to remove any barriers to their success.

  • Aspiration

We have high expectations for our children: we inspire them to strive for excellence and encourage them to set ambitious goals, challenge themselves, and reach their full potential.

  • Collaboration

We believe in working together as a team - staff, children, families, and the wider community - to support each child's development and create a positive, enriching learning environment of cooperation and shared responsibility.

  • Responsibility

We foster a sense of personal and social responsibility in our children, helping them to become active, engaged, and conscientious members of our school, our community and wider society.
